Connect How did your love story begin?

Our love story began with a perfectly unoriginal Hinge opener: Mac asked, "How was your Thanksgiving?" On our first date, we clicked instantly, discovering we shared the same birthday, a shared love of adventure, and the same vision for our future. Even with busy holiday schedules, we found time to get to know each other because we both knew this was special. Just after midnight on New Year's, Mac told me he loved me and asked me to be his girlfriend. We knew we'd found home in each other.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our wedding day will always be our favorite memory. We planned every detail together, so watching it all play out felt like seeing our shared vision become reality and it was so rewarding. Reading our vows to each other in front of everyone we love, then looking around and seeing our families and friends become one community, is a feeling we'll never forget. We spent the night laughing, dancing, and celebrating the beginning of the life of love we'd promised to build together.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use the money to support our move across the country from Virginia to California this summer. We made this decision together for our careers and our future, and it feels like the start of a new chapter and shared adventure, which is so exciting, but of course, a huge change for us. It would help us settle into a new apartment in a new city, build our life from the ground up, and begin growing our family soon, while experiencing it all side by side.
