How did your love story begin?

Our love story started at a COVID vaccine site at Walter Reed in 2022. We were both active-duty Navy Hospital Corpsmen who got pulled from our regular jobs to help with vaccines. We worked together every day, and honestly, I didn't like him much at first. Over time we became friends. After we went back to our normal workplaces, he asked me to go to the movies. I thought it was a date, he didn't. We started dating in April, got engaged in June, and married that August.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

One of my favorite memories is taking him to Skyline Drive in Shenandoah National Park in May 2023. While we were driving through the mountains talking, he suddenly told me he wanted to marry me. It felt like he had just realized it right then and there. I was surprised, but I knew I wanted him too. He makes me feel safe, loved, and at home no matter where we are. The views were beautiful, but I'll always remember how I felt that day.

What would you do with $20,000?

We'd use the $20,000 to pay down debt and create more financial stability for our future. Like many young couples, we've made some decisions we'd approach differently today, but we've learned and grown together through them. We got married just four months after we started dating and chose to elope because a wedding wasn't in the budget. We'd love the chance to finally celebrate our marriage with family and friends while continuing to build our future together.
