How did your love story begin?

Young, making terrible mistakes. I was sentenced to prison...20 years for possession and 10 years for escape! I met my husband while working in kitchen, he was my boss. We talked a lot. Then I made parole, he picked me up and we started a new life. Everyone warned us that it would not work! We went through our share of trials and tribulations. I relapsed on and off for 2 decades. But 6 years ago we packed up, moved away from toxic people. God delivered me. We're active in a wonderful church now

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Well, after the last 3 years of my husband battling cancer, quadruple bypass, etc. And me having several surgeries, broken bones and such, we finally got to go on a real vacation. FIRST TIME in 30 years! We went on a cruise, swam with dolphins, and had a romantic first real honeymoon! We are best friends and take great care of each other. We probably can't afford another vacation for quite a while. But he is 86, in Oct. Not getting any younger! Our love story needs to be shared with the world!

What would you do with $20,000?

We definitely would pay off my car and we'd give our church a small donation. They are so good to us and I know that God would want us to share with the church that has become our family. Most of my blood relatives claim to be Christians, but they turn their back on me because of my past. I say that's hypocritical. If they truly lived by His Word?...they'd be so happy for me that I have changed.
