Connect How did your love story begin?

We grew up in the same town. Our lives were somewhat intertwined but we never quite became friends until after college. We watched one another succeed and fail, through heartbreak and grief…and eventually, we found ourselves best friends. We always rooted for each other. One day I asked Brian to accompany me to get a Xmas tree because it was too depressing to do alone. That night we decorated, danced and laughed and I began to realize he was my person in every way I ever needed a person.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

I would say our favorite memory is our first trip together. We flew out to Vegas and rented an old mustang and drove it straight through Utah, visiting and hiking every national park we could.

What would you do with $20,000?

We’re officiallly making it official this October 3rd after 9 years together we are getting married. With all the chaos and expenses of a wedding, we’re pausing a honeymoon. But with this money, we would take our dream trip to hike across Spain and Portugal. We’d probably fix our falling apart deck as well. This money would give us a dream kick off to married life with a once in a lifetime vacation we’ve dreamed of.
