Connect How did your love story begin?

In 2011, we entered the 7th grade at a new magnet school with students from all over Connecticut. New town, new school, and all new people. One day, there was a rumor I, Nabilah, liked Craig, but I didn’t know who he was. Once I did, I definitely thought he was cute. After teasing from friends, and convenient new assigned seats in Spanish, we became friends. We Skyped all summer of 2012, only to be completely shy during school. And in October, Craig got the courage to ask me to be his girl!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

For our 10 year anniversary, I planned a special trip for Nabilah and I where we stayed in a nice cottage in Saugerties, NY for a couple days. We hiked around Catskills and got to see beautiful views from a fire tower. I enjoy hiking and introduced it to her years ago. The trip was us cooking, going to dinner, and just being together. In Great Barrington, we visited bookstores, galleries, and a chocolate shop; things she loves. It was like a peek into our future together, when we’re married.

What would you do with $20,000?

In March 2026, we got our first house together, and in November 2026, we’re going to be married! With 20k, as practical as it sounds, we want to pay off some student debt and buy furniture (our house is already a home, but it’d be nice to really make it comfortable). We would also love to have our honeymoon and be able to put money towards that! Overall, we’re excited to start our new married life together and 20k would be so very helpful. It would be a dream to invest in our future.
