We’re best friends who never stop choosing each other, through faith, laughter, and showing up, every single day
We would like to thank you for supporting The Crawfords in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
8 years ago, Isaiah kept noticing me parking near him before class, but we never spoke. In 2018, a compliment sparked hours of conversation about everything… until he got shut down with my honest ‘I’m just not interested.’ Years of near-misses followed. In 2023, he stopped shooting shots and started praying: ‘God, if she’s the one, give me a chance.’ In 2024, his story about ziplining over alligators, my favorite animal, brought us back around. Timing, grace, and God’s perfect plan
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? One night we ended up singing karaoke in our living room, no plans, no audience, just us. I took over the mic, going back to back like I was headlining a show, even though Isaiah can actually sing and I cannot. Then he grabbed a Tevin Campbell song and somehow turned it into a full sermon, praising the Lord mid chorus, and I could not stop laughing. That’s us in a nutshell, making room for each other to be fully, unapologetically ourselves.
What would you do with $20,000?Honestly, we’d be responsible with it. Some would go toward our wedding, some saved as we prepare to grow our family, and some invested back into our ministries, Fellas and Faith and EmpowerHER Spirit, so we can keep showing up for the people God’s called us to serve. But being real, we’d also carve out a little just for us. Maybe a trip, maybe something fun. Building a life and a legacy doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the journey too
