On Christmas Eve, a cold was starting. I grabbed a cold drink, joined family for a board game, then hit the kitchen for food. I sat at the table, and he took the seat right across from me. Away from the noise, he immediately asked about my paranormal work. Despite my oncoming sickness, his genuine curiosity blew me away. Sitting across from each other, hooked on every supernatural story I shared, a rough sick day beautifully transformed into the magical beginning of our love story.
