How did your love story begin?

Our love story started in the summer of 2023 when we met on a dating app. He asked me out for sushi. I thought he was cute, and I love sushi, so I said, “Why not?” As we got to know each other, we were amazed to discover that we had lived less than a mile apart on the same street, shopped at the same grocery stores, and worked at the same university, yet somehow we had never met.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is our third date at Alligator Point. We had enjoyed our first two dates, but Alligator Point felt different. It was the day we truly connected. We spent hours swimming, laughing, carrying each other through the water, and talking under a beach tent. We felt like kids. Something just clicked between us in a way that caught us both off guard. Looking back, it was the beginning of something special and the day our relationship really began.

What would you do with $20,000?

We would use the $20,000 to help me pursue my goal of becoming a physician and caring for people living with mental health conditions. It’s a dream I’ve had for a long time. My husband has known about it since the beginning of our relationship, and he’s always been supportive. We’ve spent a lot of time talking about what pursuing this dream could look like for us. This gift would help me take the next steps toward that goal.
