Our love story started with a little matchmaking. My best friend was dating his best friend, introduced us, and we followed each other on social media. Then DeVanté did what any good millennial man would do—he slid into my DMs. One message became endless conversations, friendship became love, and we’ve been choosing each other every day since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory is our engagement — which happened during my doctoral hooding ceremony. What I thought was a celebration of years of hard work turned into the most unforgettable “yes” of my life. Surrounded by family, friends, and accomplishment, DeVanté turned a milestone I achieved into a shared moment we’ll cherish forever. It perfectly captured our love: intentional, faith-filled, and full of surprise, joy, and purpose.
