A dog park, almost matching names, and terrible timing. She was leaving the state. It should’ve been a moment, we turned it into a life.
We would like to thank you for supporting The Carr-Kerrs in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
5 years ago we met during a rainstorm at the dog park. I had white shoes on, the ground was muddier than I had ever seen. Lo and behold I would meet my better half that day. Wasn’t until a week or so later we ran into each other again at the dog park. This time she asked for my number. When I walked to my car, there she was waiting in the parking lot. We grabbed Mexican food to go, took it to a park near by, and had ourselves a perfect first date with our pups.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? The summer we met we got passes to the amusement park in Denver together. We used our passes as much as we could that summer, and never had so much fun in our lives.
What would you do with $20,000?We would use the money to finally get married. Between our dogs and ourselves we’ve had some large medical expenses that have delayed the next step of our journey. This would be the start of the chapter we’ve been waiting for our whole lives.
