Ours is a rarity for this day and age. We met as kids in small town Southwest Iowa. I would buy Shane lolly pops at lunch and be embarrassed to give them to him then he started bring us cold lunch to share. We sat together at sporting events and not being able to “date” at such a young age, one of our parents would drive us to the movies or we would meet somewhere on our bikes. We talked on the phone- yes one with a cord-for hours and actually became friends first.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We bucked the trend of everyone we knew at the time and after college moved away from where we had always lived and headed to the Pacific Northwest for our own adventure which paved the way for all other adventures. Mountain, ocean and lake exploration, new friends found, family started…and a true understanding of the importance of our partnership.
What would you do with $20,000?We love the life and family we have created and really sink all of our resources in to giving our three kids the things and experiences we want them to have (sports, music, family vacations). Having an extra $20,000 would allow us to give ourselves a European adventure we have dreamed about for years!
