In the past 5 years, we have supported eachother through 2 back surgeries, a rare autoimmune disease & full gastrectomy w/malignant tumors
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
At 19 years old, we started as friends and roommates (separate bedrooms). Since we were just roommates, we knew each other's worst habits & how we looked 1st thing in the morning. We enjoyed hanging out together, playing Nintendo, watching movies, late-night dinners at Dennys. During all those rounds of Mario on the N64 back in 1999, we couldn't imagine spending our lives with anyone else. 27 years later, we feel the exact same way. We still love to play Nintendo (now on the Switch)!
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our wedding was scheduled for December 26 but Christmas night, there was a severe ice storm. The town lost power, the airport closed, the roads were dangerous. Family & friends could not make it. We delayed the wedding 2 days, put food outside to keep it cold, & stayed in the 1 room with a fireplace. The power returned a day later, but the road conditions did not improve. A preacher living in the neighborhood walked to our house and married us in the living room in front of the fire place.
What would you do with $20,000?We have lots of medical bills from the back surgeries, autoimmune treatments, and treatments/full gastrectomy due to stomach cancer. But it would be nice to do something fun with it, too. We've always wanted to take our kids on a vacation to L.A., but it's a very expensive trip from Florida. It's possible that we could pay medical bills and still have some for a nice trip.
