When we were seniors in high school we made a pact to get married if we were single in our 40s. In 2018 we reunited and fulfilled our pact.

Our story began with a congratulatory book release dinner as a “friend.” I DM’d her to congratulate her because I couldn’t make her release party. One dinner she saw as friends meeting up, but I saw it as our first date. The waitress thought we were a couple and she stated, “You two make a good couple.” Which was immediately shutdown by my “date” who adamantly said “This isn’t a date!” From that comment and moment, I took the challenge to make her mine.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?One of our favorite memories is parasailing in Mexico during one of our excursions during our honeymoon. My wife is afraid of heights, but I didn’t think she’d be as scared as she was. From takeoff to almost reaching the high point,she screamed and wouldn’t open her eyes. Finally once we hit our high point, she finally opened her eyes and said, “This is actually calming and peaceful.” We’ve had many laughs about this since then, especially when we look at the video footage.
What would you do with $20,000?Initially we would pay off some small debt then use the bulk of the funds to open up a coin operated laundry. With the remaining funds we would take a small vacation to celebrate our win as America’s Favorite Couple.
