Connect How did your love story begin?

I met Sam while we were working at a restaurant together. He was not twenty one yet so he would only flirt with me and hangout in groups because he didn’t want to take me on a date and not be able to enjoy an adult beverage. Once he turned twenty one he asked me out and we went on our first date. He asked a friend of ours where I would be interested in going and he picked out a wine bar and a nice Mexican restaurant. We discovered he was allergic to avocados and that we both love playing cards.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There are so many but i think the most iconic would be how he (recently) proposed. I have always wanted to take Sam horseback riding, he had never been, so his mom gave us a free 2 hour horseback ride. We volunteer for the Grief Club of MN and that’s where she said she won them and I didn’t think anything of it. We go and at the end of the ride the guide took a photo of us overlooking the water with the horses and Sam got down on one knee. I told him to “shut up”. Saw the ring and it was perfect

What would you do with $20,000?

If we would be fortunate enough to win, this money would be put towards not only a part of our wedding, but towards a new house. We are moving in with my parents at the end of the year to save money for a house with a backyard for our dog and foster dogs. I am going back to school at the same time and this money would go a long ways in helping our future.
