Connect How did your love story begin?

Our story began at Disney. I (Bruna) was on a exchange college program from Brazil, and Evan was one of the trainers at the restaurant where we worked. It was love at first sight for me, but it took him a little longer to notice. I started hosting small gatherings for our coworkers so I could get to know him better. After a day at Magic Kingdom, I kissed him in front of Cinderella Castle, and the next day he introduced me to his father. We've been together ever since.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite memory is not necessarily a happy one. When Evan's father was battling ALS, I watched Evan put his own life on hold to care for him with incredible love, patience, and dignity. Being by his side during that time, and especially when his father passed away, showed me the kind of man he truly is. Seeing the way he loved his father made me certain that he was the person I wanted to spend the rest of my life with.

What would you do with $20,000?

We have a lot of dreams for our future. Evan put his college education on hold to care for his father during his battle with ALS, and we're currently renting while working toward buying our first home. We'd also love to start a family one day. While $20,000 wouldn't make all of those dreams happen overnight, it would be a meaningful step forward—helping us invest in our future, build stability, and continue creating the life we've been working so hard to build together.
