We are, what the kids say, a COVID couple. We grew up in the same area, had mutual friends, and knew of each other. We both went our respective ways for college, explored professional sports, and somehow landed right back in St. Louis right before the pandemic. Once it hit, we were looking for a space for friends to get together. It happened to be Darrian’s apartment. Two weeks later, Darrian told me he loved me.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We have a lot of amazing memories together, but welcoming our baby girl, Harmony, into the world last October and our time in the hospital will never leave my brain. We also took a spontaneous trip to Orlando one year. No plans. No itinerary. It was early in our relationship, and we had amazing time getting to know one another!
What would you do with $20,000?Darrian and I got married at the courthouse. Very small. Very much… not like us! We didn’t even plan a honeymoon! We usually do everything big, but we were ready and didn’t want other people effecting our big day. So, I’d love to use this money to gift him the honeymoon we deserve and also pay off some debts we have as new homeowners trying to make our house a home.
