Our love story started with a glance across the commissary on base and an instant connection neither of us could ignore. For almost a year, we admired each other from afar, until one of my friends said she had enough of me being shy and gave Tee my number. He texted me immediately. Since that day, we’ve built a life side by side, blending our families… his three children and my two… and welcoming six more together.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?It’s impossible to choose just one. Some of our favorite moments were bringing Ashley home after an underway (she’s active duty Navy), welcoming each new child, serving our community through our nonprofit, and our family game nights. Whether we’re giving away clothing to families in need or cheering from the sidelines at our kids’ events, our greatest memories come from just being together.
What would you do with $20,000?We’d first pay our tithes! Then invest where our hearts already are… our family and our community. We’d help fund our nonprofit, Lend A Secondhand, so we can serve even more families in need, create lasting memories with our 11 children, and then set aside a portion for their futures.
