My husband and I will be celebrating our 49th anniversary on October 22 of this year after meeting on a blind date. He has been my rock.
We would like to thank you for supporting Terry and Robin Stevens in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met on a blind date April 30, 1976. It's liked we clicked and we were joined at the hip. He has been my rock the last 15 years. Nursing me through a shattered ankle, heart attack, stomach surgery, double bypass, diabetes, surviving a house fire, and having a Internal Cardiac Defibrillator installed. He watches out to make sure I don't over exert myself. I couldn't ask for a better mate.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? We were not very well off when we got married. So for our reception him and some friends decided to make the refreshments. I was taken away by my maid of honor so we wouldn't see each other before the wedding. Anyway, he tried his luck at rice crispy treats. Instead of using a wooden spoon he used a rubber spatula. Needless to say the spatula melted in the marshmallow mixture. A friend went to the store and got fresh ones. One very memorable moment.
What would you do with $20,000?We would pay some bills and maybe take a trip to visit my cousins in Alabama.
