People often say you should marry your best friend—we actually did. Years later, we're still laughing, flirting, and annoying each other!
We would like to thank you for supporting #TeamSilcox in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Our love story started in high school at church, where we became best friends, but we didn’t know it. The connection was always there, and so was the attraction, but the timing never seemed right as we were both dating other people. After a few heartbreaks, friends who knew we belonged together made sure we both knew we were finally single. Our first date was in June 2009, we said “I love you” not long after, married in 2014, and have proudly been #TeamSilcox ever since.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? One of our favorite memories is going mudding in Jeremy's old Dodge Dakota when we first started dating. We laughed, got completely covered in mud, and had the best time just being ourselves. Somewhere between the dirt, the adventure, and the laughter, we both just knew. For me, it was, "I've always loved this man." For him, it was, "She's going to be my wife." That messy day perfectly captured the life we've built together—fun, adventurous, full of laughter, and rooted in love.
What would you do with $20,000?If we won $20,000, we’d use it wisely—pay down debt, tackle a few home projects, and finally take a vacation we’ve been putting off. We’d also set some aside to invest in our future and help where we can. It may not be the flashiest answer, but we’re more excited about creating financial freedom and making memories together than buying things we’ll forget.
