Connect How did your love story begin?

Our story started with a traveling band in our late teens. Funny enough, I knew Johnny’s family before I ever knew him! Between band practices, concerts, and countless miles on the road, we became friends, and before long, that friendship turned into something more. Then, on my birthday, he surprised me with flowers, cake, and finally asked me out. We went to college together (and survived!), got married, and nearly 10 years later, we’re still each other’s favorite adventure and best friend.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Everyone expects a big vacation story, but our favorite memories are the ordinary ones. Laughing until we cry in the kitchen, rescuing kittens together, opening Pokémon packs on the couch, random drives with no destination, and ending the day with takeout and our cats. Those little moments became the life we’ve always wanted.

What would you do with $20,000?

First, we’d build a safe sanctuary for the neighborhood cats we’ve rescued that currently call our garage home. Caring for animals has always been something we do together, and we’d love to give them the space they deserve. We’d also put money toward growing our family after experiencing pregnancy loss, helping us move into that next chapter with a little more peace of mind. And finally? We’d take a trip—because after more than 10 years together, making memories is still our favorite investment.
