Connect How did your love story begin?

She worked at Taco Bell and he came in with a couple friends, 1 of which was a woman. After a stuttered, poorly thought out answer to the question of "are you with her" (they came together but were just friends), the phone number was secured! Fast forward to 2 weeks of no calls! Turns out a shut off house phone almost derailed us again, but thanks to his persistence and a gas station payphone we had a chance! 4 hours of feeding it coins,and we had formed a connection that has lasted 23 years!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory together is hard because coming from poverty and instability meant that we hadn't experienced much before being together and ALL of our best life experiences have been made together. Our favorite would have to be buying our home. After years of moving around, it was always the dream, and the feeling of accomplishment when we finally got those keys, is undescribable. When I see the excitement on our faces in the pictures, I always laugh out loud (pretty ridiculous pics)!

What would you do with $20,000?

We would do a lot with 20k! Our youngest son is 14 and in travel baseball and basketball. We would be able to provide him with the fees, equipment and tools he needs to help him succeed and stay up to par with these other more privileged athletes that he has encountered. He is very talented and has an intense love for sports. We would hopefully give him a shot at chasing his dream of being a playing in college. And if there is any left over, we would probably pay a bill or two but .... lol
