We met at a party on the night after his 21st birthday. He and his friends were still celebrating. He was sick from drinking too much grain alcohol punch and puking in the bushes off the front porch. I stayed with him to make sure he was ok. We had been talking about jazz music. Not many people our age were into Jazz. We talked for hours into the wee hours of the morning.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?I don’t know how to pick just one! I will pick the evening out first grandchild was born. We were at the hospital waiting in a “family room” for someone to come get us. After waiting for a few hours, I got up and said, “Come on. We’re going down the hall to see what’s going on.” I couldn’t wait any longer. We got outside the delivery room and held each other as we heard, Happy Birthday and cries from our newborn grandson. We both teared up. We got shooed away from someone!
What would you do with $20,000?We’ve wanted to go to Italy for a long time, take in the sights, culture and wine. Maybe a cooking class? Museums and fooooood.
