Connect How did your love story begin?

We met in Boston. He was couch surfing after a recent breakup. I was living my best single life. Mutual friends tried to set us up. He tried hard. I resisted even harder. But at a party on New Year's Eve, at midnight he gave me puppy dog eyes looking for a kiss. And that sealed the deal. Instant couple. Inseparable. And the friends that tried to set us up, well, they weren't exactly pleased that it worked out for some reason. But at that point, it was too late. Instant connection in a kiss.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We took a road trip to Tennessee 2 weeks after we met. We decided this will either break us or make us as a couple. We learned so much more on that trip than most people learn dating for months. Travel can be hard with even your closest friends and family, but this was something else. Shortly afterward, standing knee deep in slushy snow at a bus stop going to work, we decided to move to Los Angeles. Just like that. We quit our jobs, packed up my car, and were off on the adventure of a lifetime.

What would you do with $20,000?

Obviously we'd take a trip to celebrate 15+ years of marriage, 2 kids, 2 rescue dogs, 3 rescue cats. Definitely set up college funds for our kids. Mostly continue living life as usual because we are lucky to have as much as we already do. We would also foster lots shelter animals until they find their forever homes, but most likely ours would become theirs. So we might need a bigger home and more land for that.
