How did your love story begin?

I (Sophia) was working reception at a medical office, Brenden was working as a security guard for said medical office. I was just covering for the regular evening shift when B and I met. I remember him walking in that first night, and I kind of locked eyes with him, and it sounds crazy but I just had a feeling that I was meeting someone who was going to be an important part of my life. Several months later, we found ourselves on our first date, and the rest is history.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Brenden and I were both in our last semester at Boise State University. Brendan was spending long hours in the studio, preparing percussion pieces for his senior recital. It was a hard four months, but when the recital came around, It was phenomenal. At the end of his recital he was giving his thanks, he looked at me and said “and thank you to my beautiful partner who has breathed new life into me.” I think both of us in that moment realized that what we had was special and worth fighting for.

What would you do with $20,000?

I would want Brenden to use it to pay off some of his student loans. It will only pay for a fraction of it but a little goes a long way when you’re trying to start a new life together. We would like to get married, but there is some money stuff we have to figure out before it’s possible. He’s a hard worker, and just a good hearted, decent person who I feel incredibly lucky to have found. But we need a little help.
