My husband and I are the unlikely pair. He came from a third world country (Nepal) and I am a born and raised Texan. 11.5 years later. Love.
We would like to thank you for supporting Simon and Karina in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
We met in Nepal. I had gotten hit by a car while riding my bicycle. He was the one who took me to all my physical therapy appointments. We fell in love while drinking hospital tea and sharing our stories as we waited in line at the hospital.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our favorite memory is giving birth to our first born. We didn't know we were doing but we ambitiously decided on a home birth. The intense pain and unknowns but he was with me through the whole thing. The rawness that comes from birthing a child bonds you more than I had ever imagined.
What would you do with $20,000?We havent been able to visit his family back in Nepal because finances are tight. We would use it to buy plane tickets for our family of 5 so our youngest can finally meet her grandparents for the first time!
