How did your love story begin?

We met in high school where James patiently pursued my heart while I was too stubborn to see what was right in front of me. As the years passed, his kindness loyalty and ability to make me laugh won me over. I fell in love with the way he always put me first and loved me for exactly who I am. Now, as a disabled veteran he continues to show the same strength and devotion that first captured my heart. Nearly a decade later he’s still my favorite person my greatest blessing and the love of my life.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is a quiet getaway to Nipton, California. For a few days, it was just us, far from the distractions of everyday life. We explored the desert, admired incredible Burning Man art installations, watched trains roll through town, and soaked in breathtaking sunsets. At night, the sky seemed endless, filled with more stars than we had ever seen. It wasn’t extravagant, but it reminded us that our favorite place will always be wherever we’re together.

What would you do with $20,000?

If given this opportunity our greatest hope would be to take a meaningful step toward building the life we’ve always dreamed of together. We would love to buy our first home something that feels increasingly out of reach for many people our age in today’s economy and create a space where we can truly put down roots. James is a disabled veteran and having a home that is both stable and accommodating to his needs is important to us. More than anything we would also love to start growing our family
