Connect How did your love story begin?

I didn’t know it was his birthday and he was supposed to work at the bar he was moonlighting as a bouncer at that night. It was slow so they let him have it off. He stayed to hang out and we were all playing pool. The owner of the bar was passing out shots and I am a light weight drinker. After hours of laughing and chatting it was time to go home. He gave me the best hug ever in my life and smelled so good. He half carried me to my friends car and we starting talking more the next day.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

My favorite memory was our wedding. It was the worst weeks weather wise leading up to the day. Flooding and power lose everywhere. We lost all our wedding food in a power loss and had to repurchase. The day of our wedding it was torrential pouring rain. People were calling all day to cancel. Our wedding of 50 was dwindling down. It rained on and off all day. We got married in the rain, under the giant tiger at Comerica Park. It didn’t matter the weather, just that we were now married!

What would you do with $20,000?

We always talk about opening our own food truck or little diner. We love to cook together. We turn on some music and dance in the kitchen while we make dinner. We love to work together. We are one of those couples that always do everything together. We don’t like going to work because we know we are going to be away from each other for all those hours. In our start of our relationship we cleaned foreclosed homes together. We are a good team and balance well.
