We would like to thank you for supporting Shane & Shalanda in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Our love story began at first sight. Shane was the photographer for our College student ID’s. We began to talk and learn about each other the next day after meeting. We dated throughout our college education and decided to marry a year after graduating in 2005.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our favorite memory would be on the day Shane received a call from the University of Cincinnati hospital. We heard the nurse say we have a match for you to receive a new kidney & pancreas transplant. This is the moment we had been praying for God to bless our family with for 2 years. My husband and I had been working 8am- 5pm, taking children to evening activities, preparing dinner then performing hemo dialysis 5 days a week from 8pm until 1am for 2yrs. This phone call gave us both our life back
What would you do with $20,000?We would pay for our son Malcolm Junior Olympics track fees. He has become an incredible track star for the state of Kentucky. We want to provide everything he needs to make his dream come true. Malcolm dream is to become an Olympian Athlete in 2028. We would also host a community service event to show kindness towards our community.
