We met at 16 - just two friends in the same high school - unaware that our greatest love story would have to wait three decades. Careers. Marriage. Children. Divorce. Then one swipe on Bumble changed everything. Face-to-face hours later, we knew we met the love of our lives. No game-playing. No uncertainty. No wondering if it was "too fast." A month later, we got matching finger tattoos. Not because we were impulsive, but because after 30 years, we knew exactly what we wanted in life and love.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our first trip together was to Provincetown where we nervously performed “Shallow” at drag karaoke - Shane as Lady Gaga, Erica as Bradley Cooper. The crowd went wild, and the drag queen emcee joked, “Now that’s a straight couple I’d watch in the bedroom!” Ironically, on stage, it felt like we were the only ones in the room. Every summer since, we return to P-town with a new duet. It’s become our favorite tradition and a reminder to never stop playing together. (And yes, we practice.)
What would you do with $20,000?We would use the $20,000 to help produce Erica's first feature film, inspired by her midlife reinvention after ending her marriage and 20-year TV news career. Reconnecting nearly 30 years after high school and finding the love of our lives became the ending that proved her story belonged on the big screen.
