How did your love story begin?

Our love story began with a prayer. On June 9, 2025, Jennifer’s friend prayed that she would meet a man who would love her the way she’d always loved others. Just one hour later, Shandale sent her a message on Facebook. They met that very evening with friends, and from that night on, they were inseparable. Exactly one year later, on June 9, 2026, they became husband and wife—a beautiful reminder that sometimes, the most incredible love stories begin when hope and faith meet perfect timing.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Aside from the night we met, Jennifer’s favorite memory is what happened just two weeks later. After only knowing each other for two weeks, Jennifer underwent major surgery and unexpectedly had to remain in the hospital for two days. Without a second thought, Shandale told her family and friends he would be staying by her side. It was during those two nights that Jennifer realized she had never experienced a love like this before.

What would you do with $20,000?

After finding each other, we’ve learned that life’s greatest blessings aren’t things—they’re the people you share it with. While no amount of money could compare to the love we’ve found, $20,000 would give us the opportunity to begin our marriage with greater peace of mind. It would help ease some of our financial burdens, replace our recently totaled vehicle with reliable transportation, prepare for the arrival of our first grandchild, and allow us to build a strong, foundation for our future.
