In 89,I flew to Wisconsin for a visit with my sister — her coworker crashed our family outing, and cupid crashed the party too. I was everything she swore she'd never marry: no degree, smoker, still living with my parents. She was college-bound, grad-school-ready, smoke-free — my opposite. Didn't matter. I packed my whole life into a wheezing two-seat 280Z & drove north. That car never quit. Neither did we. Now retired (and smoke free), always chasing live music, theater, and rescue pets.
