Connect How did your love story begin?

My job at the time hosted my going away party at a local bar since I was moving to another state. My husband came reluctantly with his brother. I shamelessly flirted with him, especially after having a little too much to drink. We both went our separate ways that night, the following Monday he called me at work to ask me out on a date. We met at a restaurant that evening, he greeted me with flowers! Never had that before! Then we talked so much before ordering that I knew then he was the one!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

How do you narrow down 30 years of memories to one particular one? We have so many. For me it is the little things, like the shared laughter until you cry, or the wiping each other tears in the hard moments. It is the quiet moments of sitting on the couch with our feet touching. The proud moments of our survival after losing our son. He is my favorite memory. How do you top what she said? She will always be my favorite.

What would you do with $20,000?

To be honest? Put it towards our retirement. We would travel to see & enjoy life to the fullest. To experience the world with him, to watch him actually smile and enjoy life again. I want to spend my days with her helping others learn from our survival and sharing the message tomorrow isn't guaranteed.
