They say families are born, but sometimes they're chosen. Our story started with a swipe right on our phones. Eight months later, I met his daughter, whose tiny heart had already known unimaginable loss. I never asked her to call me "Mom." I only promised to love her, protect her, and be there whenever she needed me. Day by day, trust replaced grief, laughter replaced silence, and three strangers became a family. Love didn't erase the past—it gave us all hope for the future.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Our favorite memory was the three of us putting our feet in the Ganga together at sunset. It was peaceful, unforgettable, and one of those rare moments where time seemed to stand still. Sharing such a sacred place as a family—and seeing it through his daughter's eyes—is a memory we'll carry with us forever.
What would you do with $20,000?We'd invest it in something no one can ever take away—memories. We want to show his daughter, my stepdaughter, as much of the world as we can. This past year we stood together at the Taj Mahal, and watching her experience another culture was priceless. We'd use the money to continue giving her adventures that inspire curiosity, kindness, and a love for the world.
