Bri moved home in 2024. It was around that time her mom got a new pool technician named Sam. She boasted about how sweet he was and wondered if he was single. Simultaneously Bri is on a dating app and has struck up a conversation with a nice guy, also named Sam. It didn’t take long to figure out indeed it was the same Sam! They went on a first date two weeks later and it’s been a combination of bliss and chaos. Especially heavy on the chaos after the surprise birth of their first baby girl!

Bri had a lot of health issues mid way through 2025 and after countless doctor’s appointments, we couldn’t find a root cause. Fast forward to January 9th, 2026 Bri ends up in the emergency room for what we thought were passing kidney stones. 24 hours later, Amelia Lynn Mixon was born ! Bri wasn’t passing kidney stones, she was 38 weeks pregnant and 2 centimeters dilated. Bri and Sam literally became parents in a span of 24 hours and it’s something they’ll never forget.

We don’t come from money, but we’ve been so blessed with amazing family and friends that have stepped up tremendously to help us get everything we need for our baby girl! We just recently got engaged and currently not living together because it’s easier financially for us to live with our respected moms. We would love to be able to have the money to find a home so we can start our lives as a family of 3!
