Can you believe we met on a dating app?! We constantly brag about our experience on BLK, a dating app for Black singles (No, this is not an ad). Funnily enough, I lived in ATL at the time and was in NC for a football game. I guess we were in each other’s area and he “super liked” me. So cliche... It’s been a beautiful ride since then. Angel, born and raised in Raeford, NC, brought me back home to where my great grandparents were born and raised, and my last name, McPhatter, originated.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We took, Luna, our babygirl puppy who has since passed, and we hopped in a john boat. The camp rangers warned us that the river was shallow due to a drought and ofc we didn’t listen. We ended up wedged between a fallen log and a hanging branch FILLED with spiders crawling ALL OVER US. Luna and Sage froze in fear and became immobile. I had to step into pitch black, snake infested water to drag the boat off, whilst also covered in spiders. We got lost and rescued by those same rangers…
What would you do with $20,000?Last year, we started a transportation company called Ray’s Transport Solutions LLC. Our goal is to provide the most cost efficient transport solutions locally and expand into a fleet prioritizing CDL Drivers’ best interests. With $20k, we would invest into our DOT# to get road legal and start building clientele. Then we can pursue our dream to bring financial freedom to our families. $20,000 would be life changing and we appreciate the opportunity to enter this contest!
