How did your love story begin?

Our story began when I was a divorced single mom of two little boys that were five and six when we started dating. We had a lot of hard times not always easy raising children that aren’t yours. We went through what everyone goes through with teenagers my second born, gave us a run for our money. But through it all our relationship became stronger. We have been together for 34 years married for 27 of them. There were so many times that I was ready to throw in the towel but here we are

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memories are anything that we do as a family. When we got married my sons were 11 and 12 years old. It’s really a special family dynamic because their biological father abandoned us and never looked back. He never even paid child support! He was also abusive so I never tried to find him. And my husband has kids names tattooed on his arm as they are his sons !!!!

What would you do with $20,000?

I would help my youngest child who just got married had a baby and is just starting out in life. She needs furniture and a number of other items it would make me so happy to be able to help her. She’s a sonogram technician at a women’s hospital and her husband is a mechanic. They both work hard. So proud of them both!!!
