How did your love story begin?

It began in 2024. We had mutual friends, but we have argued for the last 2 1/2 years about who “liked” who’s post first. I was a widow after 33 years of marriage (not interested in a relationship) and he was single for 20 years after a difficult divorce. We knew instantly. We didn’t act on it instantly, but we KNEW instantly. As he has always said it is like lightening in a bottle or nothing. Well, it was lightening in a bottle. We met at an a local oyster bar and had coffee afterwards. ❤️

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

We have so many wonderful memories. We love to fish and spend time with both our children and grandchildren. He loves mine as much as I love his. I think the day we said “I do” which was November 26, 2025. Just us, a pastor and his wife that Ronnie had known for 40 years. We married under a brush arbor in their backyard. No hoopla, nothing fancy. Just us.

What would you do with $20,000?

Well, we are not wealthy. We work hard even at our age. I am a teacher and he is a truck driver. We did not have a “honeymoon” per se, so we would probably take a road trip for a couple of weeks and see a little countryside. That is our heart. We love history and we love being together and just roaming. After that, we would help in our communities and neighborhoods. We are both very committed to helping those who are not only less fortunate, but those who feel unseen and unheard.
