He was my brother's neighbor at Cedar Creek Lake, and he knew we both were lonely. He introduced us and we began texting. Our 1st date was visiting his Mom at the nursing home and taking her out to lunch. He remarked you usually don't meet the parents on the 1st date..his Mom was 90. I knew he had a sense of humor, which is a bonus. After a year of commute dating we decided to try living together. 9 years later, it's great. I describe the relationship to others as just comfortable. It fits.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?We traveled to Nashville to help his best friend celebrate his 70th birthday. A group of friends and family enjoying each other and seeing the sites,the Ryman, Country Hall of Fame, Jason Aldean's Bar, Tennessee bar-b-que,finishing with a private party, fantastic food and open bar. We even survived a tornado scare. Had to gather in the lobby of the Vanderbilt Holiday Inn at 2am one night to be safe until the threat passed. 9 years,so far,of combined family and friends good times. God is good.
