We met at our local church. I knew her family before I met her. Our first encounter was me giving her a ride home after a choir practice. I drove a hot rod and her driveway caused my car to drag and I got pretty upset about it! Then, to top it off, her dad wasn’t home so I had to take her to her grandmas house. I was dating someone else but that ended on Valentine’s Day of 1981, a few weeks later I asked her out and we have never looked back. We went skating.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?There are so many! On our 25th anniversary we went to Jamaica, one morning as we walked the beach we found two sea shells in the shore line. They were different than any others we had seen. We picked them up and they stay by our bed in a jar of sand we brought home with them. It was a perfect morning!
What would you do with $20,000?We built our home a couple of years ago and we really want to create an oasis in our side yard for entertaining. Grill, hot tub etc. I think we would do that. It would be used every day. Compton is our full name.
