From hardship came healing. We found peace, love, and family in each other while blending American and Ecuadorian roots
We would like to thank you for supporting Robert and Alexandra in this year's competition. Your participation allows us to aid both the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank and Oceana in their respective missions to support hunger relief and ocean conservation.
Our story began when two people from very different backgrounds crossed paths at exactly the right time. We had both experienced difficult chapters in life, but instead of letting the past define us, we found comfort, understanding, and hope in each other. What started as a simple connection grew into a deep friendship and then a love that brought together two cultures, two families, and one shared dream for the future.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? Our favorite memories are the moments we spent introducing each other to our cultures and families. Whether sharing Ecuadorian traditions, American holidays, food, music, or traveling together, every experience brought us closer. The most special part wasn’t any single event—it was realizing that no matter where we came from, we had found a place to call home in each other.
What would you do with $20,000?We both came from humble beginnings and never imagined opportunities like this. We’d use the $20,000 to take a once-in-a-lifetime trip to Venice, Italy—a place we’ve always dreamed of seeing together. More than the destination, it would be a celebration of our journey, our love, and the future we’re building side by side.
