Connect How did your love story begin?

2 funerals, 11 puppies, & a wedding. It's a RomCom movie script ... seriously! We knew of each other since high school, But not met until we were in our 50s. Multiple Divorces. Sonya coupled with hard, controlling, imposing men. I, Robert, with strong but angry and aggressive women Accepting our own contributions to failures, we sought out better partners Sonya wished for a strong, kind, humorous person to protect and make her laugh. I sought tenderness, and grounded wisdom. We found us!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

1st place: Our wedding, ... magical. Simple, colorful, beautiful. So much Aloha, kindness, ... well wishes. 2nd place: Seeing Ringo Starr TOGETHER in Vegas. We're each other's favorite company. Anywhere we go together, ... We hold hands, talk kindly, kiss softly. Every evening we memorialize our day, ... Discuss our separate experiences, ... Allow for nagging and complaining. Then, we make each other laugh, Finding the comedy in our recollections

What would you do with $20,000?

Travel. Sonya has not been abroad, ever, while I have been privileged to spend time living in the Netherlands, Toronto, Hawaii, and various areas in Northern California. I would love for her to see more of the world, and she would just love it. Like lower to middle-income seniors, we sometimes struggle financially, so perhaps putting some away in the bank for those inevitable rainy days. And, of course, to treat each other with wonderful meals, entertainment, visiting family and friends.
