Our love story began a few years after I started working at Bumpers Grill and Bar. Richard was a loyal customer who sat at the regulars’ table. After I became a bartender, he began sitting at the bar with a friend, and our brief conversations gradually became longer ones. Eventually, we exchanged numbers, started texting, and spent time together outside of work, where our friendship grew into something more and laid the foundation for our relationship.

During his weight-loss journey, Richard wanted to celebrate by going skydiving. After he mentioned it, I said I’d go with him, and he quickly made the reservation. It was early in our relationship and became a beautiful memory because we were both so vulnerable. Fear and adrenaline filled us as we jumped strapped to our instructors, followed by overwhelming happiness when we landed safely. Sharing that experience created an unforgettable emotional bond.

Richard and I have taken so many vacations together, been through so many states and counties and we are hoping for many more! We are finally, after 6 years, tying the knot together in November. And of course, our wedding will be in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The money will be used to pay off the rest of our wedding expenses and whatever is left, we plan to use on another adventure somewhere new!
