We met on Bumble, though I never actually swiped right, my best friend Vee did. After talking for a couple of weeks, we met at the Blind Lemon in Mt. Adams. Funny enough, neither of us thought the other was interested. I was a free-spirited, restaurant-running single mom with a bit of an edge. He was a corporate attorney, who loves space, Star Wars, Star Trek, and proudly embracing his inner nerd. Somehow, we were exactly what the other needed.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Within our first six months together, Ray flew me to San Francisco while he was there for work. One morning, , I woke up severely dehydrated, passed out, hit my face on a doorknob, and crashed to the floor. I broke my nose, lost three teeth, and needed stitches in my chin. After leaving the hospital, we spent the rest of the day sightseeing. It wasn't the vacation we planned, but it showed us who we were together. By the end of that trip, we both knew we'd found the person we wanted to marry
What would you do with $20,000?We'd keep it simple. After the year we've had, we'd use the $20,000 to elope, just the two of us, and take an international honeymoon We've both been married before and already had the big weddings. This time, we'd choose something intimate that celebrates our love, our resilience, and the life we fought so hard to have together. The rest would go toward building our future.
