Connect How did your love story begin?

Funny enough, our first day of speech class and we had to introduce ourselves in groups. We sat next to each other & The teacher asked us “what is one word your friends would describe you as?” And well, I wanted to try something new and didn’t think about it much. I said “sexy” and he laughed a little to himself! (He claims that he laughed because he didn’t expect me to say that!). We still talk about our first impressions of each other!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There’s plenty of wonderful memories, almost ten years of it! From moments he visited me at University to our first solo trip to Seattle. Or our trip to Portugal with his parents. As cliche, but my most recent favorite memory has to be the proposal day. I was so nervous but he had the whole family together for this. It was truly very simple but special. He remembered this lake I loved & had the whole family go on a little “hike” to this one spot overlooking the lake. Even the family dogs joined!

What would you do with $20,000?

Realistically we would use some to fund a down payment for a future home. We would also use it to go on a honeymoon, since we couldn’t afford to go last year due to other obligations we had. We’ve talked about the Celiac Cruise to Alaska, or maybe even Amsterdam for the tulip festival. The rest would go to our parents as a thank you for their support over the years. That’s really all I can think of. Memories or for family.
