Our story began with an elephant ring. While teaching, I worked part-time at Dillard's Home Store. I typically chatted with customers as I rang them up. In our chat, Ken asked if I was a Delta because he saw my elephant ring. That led me to share where I was from and why I had moved to Memphis. He came back later and told me everything I had told him, but said we met online and I had told him to meet me there for a date. Before I could call security on the stalker, he came clean and asked me out

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Our favorite memory is of our children coming to us to share that they wanted to give their lives to Christ and be baptized TOGETHER. They sat us down for "a talk." They've been in church with us all their lives, but during the pandemic, they began attending church with a friend from their school. We noticed them getting more involved, but decided to allow them to share when they were ready. They were baptized together and continue to pour into each other as they grow in their faith walk.

What would you do with $20,000?

Winning $20,000 would provide more financial stability for our family as we help our daughter through college and support our other children as they move toward self-sufficiency. It would also help us to pay off our debt, invest more in our small business, and maybe even invest in other ventures to create the financial generational wealth that will support the values-based generational wealth we've been building in our children.
