Connect How did your love story begin?

Fate put us together on Easter weekend two years ago. We kissed, and then continued kissing for 6.5 hours. It was fireworks at first, and then realizing we wanted to make our fire work. Meeting later in life we knew that it wasn’t just passion that can carry a relationship, but intention and commitment to building a stable foundation. We spent every other week (and a lot of $ on airfare) traveling between HTX/YYC to learn each other as a couple, not just 2 individuals living life independently.

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

Freezing in -30C temperatures, we had both planned to surprise the other by getting engaged under the northern lights in Whitehorse, Canada. Kent, having the rings, attempted to propose in Pedro’s native language of Portugese asking “will you eat me?” Pedro’s confusion, as expected, let to putting the ring on Pedro’s 3 layers of mittens where his moving hands couldn’t feel the weight of the ring. After 30 seconds of confusion he finally said yes, as our lips almost froze together in the Yukon.

What would you do with $20,000?

After our wedding in 2028 in Brazil, we want to be able to officially move in together in HTX. To do this, we need to complete the US immigration process for Pedro, which is no small financial undertaking between the lawyer fees, interviews, prep packages, and moving fees. The $20k would help tremendously to get this all completed. #Vote4Pedro&Kent
