Married for over 30 years and not one day was easy. Everything fought against us staying together and we never gave up on each other. Never

Shelley was a coach check Girl at a local teen dance club that my best friend's father owned. As soon as I saw her, I told my best friend Donn I was gonna marry her. I asked her out about 1000 times but my friend Dan was a bit of a player so I was guilty by association so she refused to go out with me. I continued to ask her out for several years every time I seen her, but she was always with someone or just not available. I finally convinced her to say yes, and I never let go from that point.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Shelly would say the birth of our children and our grandson because she's simply the greatest mom and grandmother in the world. I would say the day the doctors came out after her first surgery and told me she was going to be OK because there's zero chance I make it in this world without her.
What would you do with $20,000?Well, I'm sure some of it would go to Bill's. And believe it or not in 35 years together, we have never ever been able to go on vacation. Not even a honeymoon. Something's always come up that ruined the plans. We have never left the state together except for one time we went to go visit her parents in Florida and two days into that trip. I had to fly back home for work. It's just wrong that we've never taken our kids on a vacation.
