Cancer and Alzheimer’s touched our family, but we believe love shines brightest. We choose hope, kindness, and being a light for others.
Help us share our love story in Variety, take home $20,000, and go on a triple date with Jeff & Emilie Goldblum and Charlie Day & Mary Elizabeth Ellis!
Long before online dating was the norm, we “met” through shared interests on AOL Instant Messenger (AIM). We officially met later at my job, a video rental store (Hollywood Video), another reminder of simpler times! Our story began in December 2001, and over 20 years later, we’re still choosing each other every day.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple? The birth of our three children is the obvious answer. But aside from our miracles, our favorite memory is the night Paul proposed to me. We were walking along the beach in Sea Isle City, New Jersey (our favorite place in the world) and Paul had the engagement ring hidden in the sleeve of his hoodie. He had a speech planned in his head, but as we were walking along we looked up to the sky and saw a shooting star. With that, he immediately popped the question forgetting all plans he had made.
What would you do with $20,000?I grew up spending summers in Sea Isle City at my grandfather’s house as a child. It’s always been our dream to live there, but today even the smallest homes are out of reach. If we were fortunate enough to receive $20,000, we would use the money to bring us closer to getting our family back to where our story began… under a shooting star exactly 20 years ago this August!
