At a dance I DID NOT want to go to. Paul was going through a divorce after 15 years of marriage and I had been "re-singled" for 12 years not even going out during that time (really). I had finally felt I was ready to meet someone but just concentrating on raising my child. I was kinda "forced" into going to this dance and was there about 15 minutes when he simply came up to the table and held out his hand and I took it, four months later we were married. Still get butterflies telling this story.
What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?Married in November and attending his families Thanksgiving later that month. Being new to the family I didn't want to make waves as we lived in Louisiana and they were in Mississippi. After the "women" in the family cooked the meal they gathered the "men" to come eat while they stood behind them serving them and then they ate later. What century was I in!! More than 500 words to finish this story, but we still laugh about it today.
What would you do with $20,000?Paul and I are the reliable members of the family and we are called on a lot to help kids and nephews, etc. We'd probably continue to help the kids (although I REALLY want to go to New England and visit from top to bottom). I tell Paul from time to time "you know we're in our 70's now and the clocks ticking". LOL
