Connect How did your love story begin?

We are both physicians and met while doing volunteer work. We shared the same passions and teamed up to create a national program that enhanced engagement in women's healthcare. We fell in love and later merged our young single-parent families. Here we are nearly 20 years later! Our children are grown adults and contributing to society, we are still happy and in love, working for a critical access hospital and overcoming anything in our way, including losing a child and beating breast cancer!

What is your favorite memory you've shared as a couple?

There are so many it is hard to choose! Engagement and biking down Haleakala after sunrise, riding bikes through Manhattan in the rain at rush hour, scuba diving a shipwreck in the Grand Caymans, broadway shows and hiking, watching our kids grow up together! Not to mention our new journey as sommeliers in training! How can we choose just one? All we know is that every day is an opportunity. We have fun together doing anything and everything! Every memory is precious and each day a gift.

What would you do with $20,000?

Because of our lifelong commitment and dedication to women's healthcare, we would plan to donate our gift to non-profits that support women's cancer research and supportive care.
